Dataset Approval Automation

This solution was built to streamline the internal dataset publishing process at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC). It automates the multi-stage approval workflow required before data can be released publicly, reducing the need for manual emails and tracking.

Using Power Automate and SharePoint, the system sends approval requests to directors at each stage, records their responses, and helps the team monitor QA progress on each dataset.

Since I was a secondary developer on the project, I contributed to building several of the Power Automate flows. This was my first project with the team, and it gave me hands-on experience with scalable workflow automation in an enterprise setting.

The solution significantly reduced administrative overhead and improved tracking, saving the team a considerable amount of time and effort.
